On Thursday, February 21, Tigers4Ever had a pregame party at the Robbins Center for the basketball games. Tigers4Ever is a student alumni organization, and its goal is to help build relationships among existing students, alumni, faculty, and friends of the university.
Some of the students who took part in this activity are members of Tiger4Ever, and others came since they heard about this activity and are interested in it.
“This is for the Tiger basketball game that will go on later, and this is our second year doing it,” Tigers4Ever President Chantal Solorzano said, “It is mostly meant to get students into Tiger traditions, and when they are alumni they will do kinds of things like this.”
During the activity, the history of the Tiger has been scrolling on the background screen.
Doralynn Mellinger, who is a graduate student on campus, said that she would go to the game with her friends, and they wanted to cheer the Tiger by participating in this activity.
“I think it is pretty good. I really like the trail mix and signs that we made,” she said.
“We are laughing and having a good time,” said Addie Roth, one of Tigers4Ever club members. Roth also said, “It is also a good time to hang with friends and cheer on the Tigers.”
In the subsequent basketball games, these people also appeared as spectators, and took posters made by them to cheer for the Tigers. This is not only an opportunity to cheer for Tigers but also a chance to express your love for them.
