Coming off of a second-place finish in the Colby Orange and Black Invitational, the Hays High School boys’ basketball team looked to keep the momentum going Tuesday against Salina South.

The Indians kept the game close in the first quarter. Jordan Dale hit two 3-pointers to keep the Indians within range, trailing only 18-14 after the first quarter.

The Indians tied the game at 22-22 with 2 minutes left in the first half before trailing 26-24 at the break.
The Cougars went on a 13-4 scoring streak to pull ahead at the 2-minute mark of the third quarter. The Indians went into the fourth quarter trailing 44-31.
