Two win titles at UNK Pre-Holiday Classic

KEARNEY, Neb. – Ten athletes representing the Fort Hays State track and field team made the short drive north to compete in the UNK Pre-Holiday Classic Thursday (Dec. 12). One athlete recorded an NCAA provisional mark, while the Tigers brought home a pair of individual titles.

Ryan Stanley surpassed the NCAA Division II provisional standard for the second time this season, winning the pole vault competition after clearing the 16-1.75 bar. Mark Faber finished second in the pole vault behind Stanley, clearing a height of 15-1.75.

Rohey Singhateh captured first place in the long jump after posting a mark of 18-6.5, less than an inch off the provisional distance. Singhateh also finished second in the triple jump with a distance of 37-1. Paris Wolf placed third in the triple jump after a leap of 35-1.25 while finishing sixth in the long jump with a mark of 17-0.5.
