Anna Deal is one of the candidates for Homecoming Queen at FHSU’s 2019 Homecoming. Coming from Hutchinson, Deal is a very popular student on campus, you can always see her with a big smile ready to make a difference every day. This is her third year at FHSU and she is majoring in Communication with an emphasis in Public Relations and Advertising. Also, she is studying a minor in psychology and she has a Leadership Studies Certificate.

So we have enough evidence to know that Deal is a  well prepared candidate for these elections. She is a member of Delta Zeta sorority, works for the Admissions Department, and also she is the PRSSA President in our college.

“I work so hard on campus to help people and do my best to be involved on the projects that I am part of,” Deal said when talking about her routine and how she performs day by day on campus. “Since I was in Hutchinson High School, I liked to be part of the projects and help to improve the institutions with new ideas being open minded and positive”.

Who is Anna Deal and what does she like?

“I am a sociable person, I love to meet new people and communicate with them, that is why I am majoring in Communication, I feel it is vocational. I would define my personality with three values: work ethic, people skills, and friendliness.

“Also, I like to see how diverse the campus is and help new students to come and get involved in our school to make it bigger and more attractive. It is really satisfying when you make the visitors feel comfortable and they decide to come because you have convinced them, that feeling is priceless and all the hard work is worth it.”

Who is your partner for the elections? What do you think about him?

“Brad DeMers is my partner, and I have known him since I became an FHSU Student. He is a really important figure on campus because he represents all the students that are part of FHSU and he is doing very well, everybody respects what he does and I truly believe he is one of the most professional people that I have ever met. We are similar, we have a similar sense of humor, so to me it is a real pleasure to share this experience beside him.”

What is the Homecoming Election about? What does this Election mean to you?

“From my point of view, Homecoming Royalty is like the ultimate level of representation here on campus. It is a huge recognition to everything you have done for the school and the students. I feel honored already since the moment I was picked as a nominee at my sorority, so if I have the privilege to be the next Queen, I would be so grateful and I will try to keep working to demonstrate that I deserve where I am.

“This Election means a lot to because you have the responsibility to represent the school in the best way possible, and FHSU is a fantastic place that deserves to be well represented.”

What do you think about the rest of the candidates?

“I know all of them, and I can say that they all deserve to be elected because they are all really prepared people to represent the school.”
Voting for the title of King and Queen will take place from 9:00 AM October 9th to noon October 11th on TigerLink or in Memorial Union from 11am to 1 PM on October 9th and 10th.
