The Sternberg Museum of Natural History hosted Rocktober on the evening of Tuesday, October 1st. This event combined live rock music played by two local bands, Lie Low and Company 11, with beautiful and unique rocks from the collection at the museum, many of which are rarely shown to a public audience.
Many of the spectators were able to enjoy the live, heart-pounding rock music while viewing the rocks and visiting with geology experts that could answer many of the questions they possessed. The collaboration between these two interests made for exciting and fun evening entertainment.
