By FHSU SPORTS INFORMATION

Fort Hays State Softball plays its final conference doubleheader of the 2019 season on Saturday (Apr. 27) when it plays host to Nebraska-Kearney. Game time is set for 2 pm at Tiger Stadium. FREE Tiger Nation T-Shirts will be given away to the first 100 fans in attendance.

The Tigers enter Saturday 11-13 in MIAA play, while the Lopers are 12-12. The Lopers are in a three-way tie for seventh, while FHSU is in 10th. The top eight teams qualify for the MIAA Tournament next week in Edmond, Oklahoma. FHSU is looking to vault into one of the last few spots in the tournament up for grabs. Only four teams are mathematically locked at qualifying for tournament entering the weekend. Several games around the MIAA on Friday will determine the shape of the standings for Saturday and what the Tigers will have to do to get into the tournament.

Fort Hays State 22-23 overall, but 13-5 at home so far this year, which includes a 7-5 mark in MIAA play at Tiger Stadium. The Tigers are looking to snap a two-year drought from qualifying for the MIAA Tournament, their last appearance being in 2016. Nebraska-Kearney enters the doubleheader at 18-22 overall.

Live webstream, radio, and stats will also be available for the games.
