Ricardo Zamora: I am from Kansas City born and raised, I am a Senior, Business Management major here at FHSU.

 

What is your sign:

Sami Montgomery: Gemini

Ricardo Zamora: My sign is VIRGO

 

What do you want to be after college and why?

Sami Montgomery: A doctor because I feel like my purpose in life is to serve people and it’s the best way I know how!

Ricardo Zamora: I would like to be a lawyer in the business world.

 

What are your long-term goals?

Sami Montgomery: Be in Med school, maybe residency somewhere on the coast!

Ricardo Zamora: Five years from now I will hopefully be graduating from law school.

 

What are your short-term goals?

Sami Montgomery: Have fun and live life to the fullest!

Ricardo Zamora: Shooting for those A’s in the grade book!

 

What are some of greatest strengths?

Sami Montgomery: Relating to all different types of people and talking to crowds or groups.

Ricardo Zamora: I think I am a very genuine and compassionate person that loves helping others.

 

What is one thing people do not usually know about you?

Sami Montgomery: I have one brother who is at boot camp training to be a Marine

Ricardo Zamora: I can be kind of an adrenaline junky… Just jumped out of a perfectly functioning plane a few weeks ago!

 

What are you most excited about when it comes to homecoming?

Sami Montgomery: Everything

Ricardo Zamora: Seeing all the alumni come back, it just shows how much people love Fort Hays and how proud we all are to be FHSU Tigers!

 

What has been your greatest memory at FHSU?

Sami Montgomery: Definitely living in Wiest Hall

Ricardo Zamora: Freshman year, after a UAB AfterDark, I took 2 giant trash bags full of popcorn back to the residential halls and watched a movie with friends. Who doesn’t love free popcorn!

 

What are you involved in at FHSU?

Sami Montgomery: Encounter, Honors College, Sigma Sigma Sigma, orientation leader

Ricardo Zamora: I am involved in Stripes for Hope, VIP Ambassadors, Go Global! LLC, and Alpha Kappa Psi

 

Do you have any tips, words of advice to other aspiring student leaders?

Sami Montgomery: You’re perfect just the way you so don’t be afraid to show it!

Ricardo Zamora: I would say to get involved and make the best out of your college experience! Everyone at FHSU is amazing so be friendly and say hello to people and make new friends.

Sami Montgomery: Definitely reading people’s minds, because then I would never have to question it!

Ricardo Zamora: I listen to pretty much anything and everything

 

Favorite holiday and why?

Sami Montgomery: Christmas – I get to be with all my family and it’s beautiful! Also food!

Ricardo Zamora: Probably Christmas, just love that time of year.

 

Which building on campus would you go to first in a zombie apocalypse?

Sami Montgomery: Rarick cuz they’d get lost and I’d be good.

Ricardo Zamora: Top of Rarick, everyone hates going up those stairs, even zombies
