Fort Hays State Men’s Basketball heads to Boulder, Colorado on Saturday, December 17 to face the University of Colorado at 12 pm MT/1 pm CT at the Coors Events Center. This will be an exhibition game for Fort Hays State, while it counts towards Colorado’s regular season record. This is the first meeting between the schools.
The game will be televised on the Pac 12 Network (check local listings for availability). For the Hays area, the game can be found on Dish Network if the subscriber has Pac 12 Network as part of their subscription. Channels 406 and 409 are listed as covering the game. The Tigers are coming off a win over Bethel College (Kan.) on Wednesday night by a score of 102-63. Rob Davis reached at least 30 points in a game for the fourth time this season and took over the national lead in points scored with 264 for the season. It was also the second time this season Davis scored at least 30 in back-to-back games. He is averaging 24 points per game, which ranks ninth nationally in Division II.
Hadley Gillum posted his third double-double of the season in the win against Bethel. He had 18 points and 11 rebounds. He is the second-leading scorer and rebounder on the team at 14 points and 6.3 rebounds per game.
Colorado has enjoyed a week of rest following a 79-71 loss at BYU on December 10. Derrick White leads the Buffs in scoring at 15.6 points per game, while Xavier Johnson is right behind at 15 points per game. Three of the CU starters average better than six rebounds per game, which includes Wesley Gordon (8.5), George King (7.6), and Johnson (6.2).
