What took place at the meeting, senators that represented each college at Fort Hays State University met up to form committees. There were various types of committees such as; Appropriations, Student Relations, and Legislative Political Actions. There was also the installation of new members where new senators were all elected. The senators that were elected are; Alyssa Stepp, Megan Garcia, Reilly Franek, Ulises Gonzales, Yoana Cruz, Lucy Loyall, Jasmine Turley, and Kenton Lindsey. New students met to see what the SGA was all about.
Brett Chrisler, Director of Campus Relations, elaborated on other traditions previous SGA meetings have had, “We didn’t have any old business this time. Usually, we will talk about what happened in the last meeting and see if anything needs to be elaborated on more. Then we usually have announcements that are usually generic information about the SGA events. People can also bring up what’s in other reports.”
