Flagor and Holle Receive NSCA All-American Athlete Awards

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Fort Hays State student-athletes Mallory Flagor and Garrett Holle have been named National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) All-American Athlete Award recipients for 2016. The award recognizes athletic accomplishments and dedication to strength and conditioning of the two individuals. Both were nominated by FHSU Strength and Conditioning Coach Doug Boucher.

Flagor was an All-MIAA Second Team selection at rightside hitter for the second consecutive year in 2015. She finished the year with 401 kills, 318 digs, and 88 blocks entering the MIAA Tournament. She averaged 3.26 kills and 2.59 digs per set. Flagor became the eighth player in FHSU history to reach 1,000 kills in a career. She had 12 double-doubles in kills and digs in 2015. Flagor finished her career with 1,069 kills, 515 digs, and 239 total blocks. She was a three-time All-MIAA selection overall.

Holle, a senior wide receiver in football from Phoenix, Ariz., ranked fourth in receptions with 11 during the 2015 season. Holle finished the year with 167 receiving yards and one touchdown, averaging 15.2 yards per catch. Holle helped the Tigers to an 8-4 record overall in 2015, tying the school record for wins in a season. He helped the Tigers to the Mineral Water Bowl, giving FHSU its first appearance in a postseason game since 1995.
