Fort Hays State returns to action at home tonight when it hosts Central Missouri at 5:30 pm. The No. 7 ranked Tigers enter at 18-2 overall, 12-2 in the MIAA, while the Jennies are 8-11 overall and 7-7 in the MIAA.
The Tigers are coming off a thrilling 82-81 overtime win at Nebraska-Kearney this past Saturday. Beth Bohuslavsky scored the final six points of the game, including the game-winning layup with four seconds to play. Paige Lunsford tied her career highs for points (22) and assists (5) in that game.
Fort Hays State defeated Central Missouri 59-50 earlier this season in Warrensburg. The Jennies are coming off a 69-64 win over then No. 11 ranked Emporia State this past Saturday in Warrensburg. Shelby Winkelmann leads the scoring attack for UCM at 19.4 points per game.
FHSU has four players averaging double figures in scoring, led by Chelsea Mason at 13.4 points per game. Jill Faxon averages 12.8 per game, Lunsford adds 11.3 per game, and Bohuslavsky chips in 10.6 per game.
The Tigers continue to lead the nation in turnover margin at +12.1. Central Missouri committed the fewest turnovers against FHSU this season with 14 in the contest earlier this year in Warrensburg.
