Tigers Face Jayhawks in Exhibition Tuesday; Game Televised

Fort Hays State will play its final exhibition game prior to the start of the 2015-16 season on Tuesday (Nov. 10) at the University of Kansas in Lawrence. Game time is set for 7 pm at Allen Fieldhouse. The game will be broadcast live on the Jayhawk Television Network for residents in Kansas and will be available on ESPN3 (WatchESPN) for those outside the state of Kansas.

This will be the second of two exhibition games against Kansas’ Big 12 schools. The Tigers fell to Kansas State in an exhibition this past Friday (Nov. 6) by a score of 70-52. Craig Nicholson and Dom Samac led the Tigers with nine points each while Hadley Gillum added seven. Jake Stoppel had a team-high six rebounds.

Kansas is also playing its second exhibition contest. The Jayhawks defeated Pittsburg State in exhibition back on November 4 by a score of 89-66. This is also the final tune-up for the Jayhawks before welcoming Northern Colorado for their season opener on Friday (Nov. 13).

Kansas and Fort Hays State last met in an exhibition in 2013. Kansas won that meeting 92-75. The Jayhawks are 6-0 against FHSU in exhibition play.

Fort Hays State gears up for its season opener on Saturday night (Nov. 14) against Southwest Minnesota State in Hays. The Tigers host Sioux Falls on Sunday to follow. FHSU will play its first nine games of the season at home.
