The first ever Core2Campus Kickoff will be on Aug. 29. Fort Hays State University students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to meet in the Quad at 4:30 pm and walk downtown together. Core2Campus will run from 5 to 7 p.m. at Union Pacific Park at 10th & Main. The event will bring food, fun, music and prizes along with a chances to win up too $500 while visit more than 35 participating businesses. There will also be a free hog roast with valid Tiger ID for the first 500 students, staff, and faculty. Along with 500 free Tiger Gold on Friday T-shirts available to participants. For those who want to be even more involved there will be a downtown scavenger hunt, the teams need to consist of 5 members. Each winning teach member will get a Downtown Hays gift pack. The scavenger hunt is from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. registration will be at Union Pacific Park at 10th & Main.
