The 24th-ranked Fort Hays State men’s soccer team plays two non-conference matches this week before closing out the season with four consecutive matches in MIAA play. The Tigers host Oklahoma Baptist on Thursday night (Oct. 22) at 7 pm, then hit the road to play at West Texas A&M on Saturday (Oct. 24) at 7 pm. The Tigers enter the week at 8-3-1 overall.
The Tigers look to make a push for a fourth consecutive trip to the NCAA Tournament. All games down the stretch will be critical for the Tigers in strengthening their resume as only two teams from the Central Region are selected to the NCAA Tournament.
Oklahoma Baptist enters Thursday’s match with FHSU at 4-11 overall, while West Texas A&M enters Saturday’s contest at 9-4 overall.
Mauricio Castorino continues to lead the MIAA in points with 20. Castorino has eight goals and four assists for the season. Maurizio Costa is tied for third in the MIAA in goals with six.
