The 22nd-ranked Fort Hays State men’s soccer team looks to bounce back from a loss to Texas A&M-International as they take on Southwest Baptist Friday night (Oct. 2) in Hays at 7:30 pm, the second game of a doubleheader at FHSU Soccer Stadium.

The Tigers are 6-2 overall on the season and the Bearcats will be their first test in the MIAA this year. Mauricio Castorino not only leads the Tigers in points this season with 16, but also leads the MIAA and is tied for the conference lead in goals with six. SBU enters the game at 0-8 overall on the year.
FHSU goalkeeper Michael Yantz is second in shutouts in the MIAA with two and has played all 751+ minutes for the Tigers.
On Sunday the Tigers face against the defending MIAA champions, Northeastern State, at 1:30 pm, also on the back end of another doubleheader at FHSU Soccer Stadium. The RiverHawks are receiving votes in the latest NSCAA Division II Poll.
Northeastern State plays Harding University in non-conference action at home on Thursday (Oct. 1) before heading to Hays on Sunday. NSU is 4-4 on the season and 1-1 in the MIAA.
The RiverHawk offense is led by Trevor Reed and Joseph Garcia, who both have found the back of the net four times this season.
