Fort Hays State Volleyball will host a five-court, 18-team tournament this Saturday as part of its 2015 spring schedule. The Tigers will play scrimmages on Thursday at 4:30 p.m., and 7:30 p.m., in addition to Saturday’s tournament. Admission to both dates is free.
Thursday’s scrimmages will be against the Franca Volleyball Club, a regional team in the state of Sao Paulo, Brazil, at 4:30 p.m., followed by a 7:30 p.m., scrimmage with Pratt Community College. The Brazilian squad is practicing at Fort Hays State this week and working with the Tiger Volleyball team.
Saturday’s 18-team tournament will begin at 10 a.m., with the final scheduled game set for 5:25 p.m. Three courts will be set up in FHSU’s Gross Memorial Coliseum, with two other courts set up in Cunningham Hall gyms 120 and 121. Fan seating for Saturday is available in the upper level of Gross Coliseum. The complete schedule can be found here, or through the link at the top of the page.
FHSU, which finished last season 13-18 overall and won a school record seven MIAA contests, will play five two-set contests on Saturday. The Tigers’ schedule is below:
