Missouri Western enters the series at 18-12 overall and 12-8 in the MIAA. The Griffons are currently fifth in the MIAA standings. FHSU will be looking to move its way up the conference standings, currently in 13th. The Tigers are 7-21 overall and 5-15 in the MIAA.
After splitting their conference-opening series with Central Missouri, the Tigers have yet to split or win a conference series since. FHSU still has four, four-game sets against conference opponents including this weekend.
FHSU is coming off a non-conference win over McPherson College on Tuesday night by a score of 12-4. The Tigers are currently in the middle of an 11-game home stand with five games to play yet, the fifth against Bethany College next week.
