Fort Hays State University’s Kate Lehman and Kerrian Shaw were named to the CoSIDA/Capital One Academic All-District 7 Team for NCAA Division II, announced Thursday.
The award, voted on by Sports Information Directors, showcases athletes’ skills on the court and in the classroom.

Lehman, a senior from Newton, has a 3.83 grade point average in Elementary Education and has started all 21 games for the Tigers this season, and ranks among the nation’s top players. Lehman is averaging a double-double on the year with 20.5 points and 10.7 rebounds per game, adding 4.4 blocks on average. The center has been named the MIAA Athlete of the Week six times this season and is No. 1 on the school’s career rebounding list and No. 3 in career points at FHSU.She was selected as a first team honoree for the first time in her career and will now be eligible for the Capital One/CoSIDA Academic All-American team (announced later this season).

Shaw, a senior from Deweese, Neb., holds a perfect 4.00 GPA in Biology while starting all 21 games with a team-high 29.4 minutes per game. She averages 6.0 points and 6.5 rebounds per game, second on the team with 137 total rebounds this season. The forward has picked up three double-doubles on the year and had double-digit rebounds in four games this season. She was selected as a second team honoree for the first time in her career.
