Fort Hays State University’s Delta Zeta Chapter will be hosting Turtle Tug in order to fund raise for their philanthropy on Saturday in the tailgate lot at Lewis Field.
“It’s an event where it’s a tug of war over a pit of Jell-O,” said Maggie Wilson, Derby senior.
Anybody is eligible to participate in this event and the entry cost is five dollars per person.
A team can be all guys, all girls or a mixture of both. However, the maximum amount of team members permitted is four.
Delta Zeta’s national philanthropies is speech and language. All of the proceeds from this event will be donated to the Herndon Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic located on campus.
According to Wilson, no other organization on campus holds this event, so it will be a fun time.
