There’s only a few more days to check out the exhibition from FHSU’s newest art and design professor, Justin Price, in the Moss-Thorns Gallery. Price was hired as the Assistant Professor of Painting and began teaching this past August. His work centers around “embodiment” and the way we connect to the world around us.
For Price, the process of painting connects to and is as important as the finished piece and the way the viewer sees it. This show depicts lots of brightly colored abstract shapes along with realistic figures, giving the illusion of a piece collaged together. The space of the Moss-Thorns Gallery is completely transformed by the color and visuals.
The exhibition ends this Friday. Gallery Hours are 9-4 p.m. Monday-Friday.
