Community members gathered this weekend to see the Big Boy No. 4014 locomotive pass through Hays during the Union Pacific’s “America’s 250th Celebration.” The famed No. 4014 is the world’s largest operating steam locomotive, and the only operational Big Boy of the eight surviving engines.
