The Fort Hays State University baseball team dropped Thursday night’s series opener with No. 9-ranked Pittsburg State. Pitt State (27-6 overall, 16-6 MIAA) won 12-2 in seven innings.
Fort Hays fell to 9-23 overall and 6-16 in conference play.
Game 2 is scheduled for 3 p.m. today at Larks Park.
