On Thursday, Angela Pool-Funai, assistant provost for academic programs and dean of the Graduate School, addressed the Senate regarding the academic catalog and its benefits for students.
Pool-Funai discussed the three main features of the academic catalog.
“[The] information hub is the go place for things like university and class policies, programs, criteria, graduation requirements, and so forth,” she said. “You can find a program overview if you’re an undergrad and if you’re looking for a minor, or if you’re looking for a possible way to stick around for grad school. Last but not least, we have degree maps.”
She also said there is a degree map for every degree; however, not every concentration has one yet. The degree maps are outlines based on no prior credits and on taking 15-16 credits per year.
