Unofficial Ellis County election results

Ellis County elections, including city commission and school board races, took place on Tuesday.

The county saw a 22.6% voter turnout. Official results will be reported in mid-November when canvassing is completed.

Unofficial results

In the city of Ellis, Martin V. LaBarge was elected mayor and Amanda M. Shannon was elected treasurer. John A. Walz, Kevin LaBarge and David R. McDaniel were elected to the city council.

Two incumbents, Shaun Musil and Sandy Jacobs, will retain their seats on the Hays City Commission. David Vilaysing was elected as a new member.

In Schoenchen, Kevin Bieker was elected mayor. Jim Mowry was outvoted by write-in votes for the Schoenchen City Council. 

In Victoria, John Schulte was elected mayor, and Matthew L. Sander and Ryan Lichter were elected to the City Council. 

Cameron Eickoff, Jared Ganoung and Nathan Grebowiec were elected to the USD 270 School Board. 

USD 388 had no candidates on the ballot with one unexpired term. 

Connie Braun, Shanna Dinkel and Jacob Hunter were elected to the USD 432 School Board.

Curt C. Vajnar, Ken Brooks and Craig Pallister were elected to the USD 489 School Board. 

Duane F. Kuhn, Larry Leiker and Casey F. Herrman were elected to the three Big Creek Improvement District Director positions. 

Darold F. Younker won the election for Munjor Improvement District Director. 

Kevin Zimmer, Bradley Stewart and Shange Gregg were elected to the three Prairie Acres Improvement District Director positions.

The election for Suburban Estate Improvement District Director had no candidates on the ballot.

Donna Maskus and Dinah Newman were elected to Cottonwood Extension District No. 17.
