Tourism and Hospitality Club hosted a Haunted House last weekendat Breathe Coffeehouse. The fundraiser was put on to raise funds for the club’s upcoming trip to Argentina and Chile where they will learn more about International Hospitality.

The event also doubled as a group project for the students’ Meeting and Events Tour and Hospitality Management class. Hosting this event allowed them to learn the ins and outs of event hosting and all the work that goes into it. It wouldn’t have been possible without the help of many volunteers, including Steven, who ran a Hays haunted house in the past, donating decorations and sharing behind-the-scenes knowledge. The group was also shown much support from the community and beyond getting a class grade from it, they had a successful and joyful time.

“Shout out to all of our volunteers that gave up their time for us,” said club member Lillian Payne. “On Saturday, we had a line out the door throughout the entire duration of the event, as well as a consistent flow all of Sunday. It was so much fun. We had an amazing group and a great time.”
