FHSU announces Homecoming 2025 royalty finalists

This year’s Fort Hays State University Homecoming royalty finalists have been named. Finalists were selected after a rigorous nomination, application and interview process. 

This year’s homecoming royalty finalists are: 

Queen finalists:  

• Harper Lubbers, junior from Wichita

• Corbyn Marquess, junior from Plainville

• Grace McCord, senior from Hays

• Star Parham, senior from Salina

• Mackenzie Zimmerman, senior from Rush Center

King finalists:  

• Cade Becker, junior from Plainville

• Marcell Dely, junior from Budapest, Hungary

• Ryan Funai, senior from Waco, Texas

• Jordan Smith, senior from Greensburg

• Wyatt Trombley, senior from Dodge City

The Student Engagement and Belonging Homecoming Week festivities will kick off with the Tiger Trike Races. This event will take place Sept. 23, from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. and will include a relay race with big wheel tricycles around the quad.  

The student body vote will take place from 9 a.m. Sept. 24 until noon Sept. 26. Students can also vote in the Memorial Union from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 24, 25 and 26. 

The royalty finalists will be introduced Sept. 25 at the annual Tiger bonfire. 

Royalty finalists will also participate in the Homecoming parade through downtown Hays on Sept. 27. The parade starts at 11 a.m. 

The king and queen will be announced at halftime of the Homecoming football game against Missouri Western State University on Sept. 27. The football game kickoff time is 7 p.m.
