After last week’s Student Government Association election wasn’t able to produce a majority winner for president and vice president, a runoff election took place yesterday between Mickey Mason-Marcell Dely and Jackson Sinsel-Brenna Schwien. Sinsel-Schwien was elected 508-454 and will serve as president and vice president for the 2025-26 academic year.

During President Ella Burrow’s report, she updated the senate about the proposal to print commencement booklets.
“They were sadly vetoed,” she said.
TMN will have more information about the decision not to print the booklets next week.
During New Business, six new bills were up for first reading and one was moved to emergency business.
Bill No. 25-S-132 was for Wyatt Trombley to be appointed as Student Justice to the Student-Faculty Court.
Bill No. 25-S-133 was for Alisha Brantley to be appointed as Student Justice to the Student-Faculty Court.
Bill No. 25-S-134 was for funds from “Educational Trip: Denver” to be moved to “Educational Trip: Kansas City” for the Ceramica Club. This was moved to emergency business and passed unanimously.
Bill No. 25-S-135 and Bill No. 25–136 were for line item changes for the Muslim Student Association.
During Old Business, two bills were up for a second read and voted on.
Bill No. 25-S-130 was for a line item change for the Society of Human Resource Management. The bill passed unanimously.
Bill No. 25-S-131 was for a line item change for the Interior Design Student Association. The bill passed unanimously.
