Special to Tiger Media Network
The Student Government Association (SGA) at Fort Hays State University is excited to announce its Winter Clothing Drive, aimed at providing essential cold-weather gear for students in need. The drive will run through December 13, 2024, with all donated items benefiting the Tiger Food Pantry, ensuring that students have easy access to much-needed winter clothing as temperatures drop.
The Winter Clothing Drive is an opportunity for the FHSU community to come together and support students who may be struggling to afford winter essentials. SGA is collecting new or gently used winter clothing, including hats, gloves, scarves, coats, and other cold-weather apparel. These items will be distributed by the Tiger Food Pantry, which serves as a vital resource for students in need, offering free access to food and clothing.
Donation Locations:
● FHSU Memorial Union (Main Lobby)
● SGA Office (Fischli Wills Center for Student Success, Room 238)
How You Can Help:
Faculty, staff, students, and community members are encouraged to donate winter clothing during the drive. Simply place your donations in one of the designated drop-off bins located in the Memorial Union or the SGA Office. Every contribution, no matter how big or small, will make a significant impact on students who may face financial barriers to obtaining warm clothing.
For more information about the Winter Clothing Drive or if you have any questions, please contact SGA President Ella Burrows at ekburrows.se@fhsu.edu or call the SGA office at 785-628-5311.
