Women’s golf 10th at MIAA Championships

BOLIVAR, Mo. – The Fort Hays State women’s golf team placed 10th at the 2024 MIAA Championships this week (April 22-24) at Silo Ridge Golf Club. The Tigers finished the week with a three-round total of 1,011 strokes on the par-72, 5,864-yard course, 11 shots in front of Newman.

Morgan Brasser led the Tigers with a t-12th finish after posting rounds of 76, 78 and 76. The senior tied for second in the field with 35 pars across the 54-hole competition. Shauna Lee was 44th with rounds of 82, 89 and 87, while Hayden York finished in a tie for 45th with rounds of 91, 86 and 82 and Ella Neuhauser fired three-consecutive rounds of 88 to finish 48th.

Central Missouri captured the team title with a total score of 907, defeating Rogers State by nine shots. Nebraska-Kearney’s Juliana Botero Molina won the individual title with a total score of 7-over, posting rounds of 78, 71 and 74.
