The turnout for Storytime at The Farm was outstanding, lots of parents brought their families out.
“For us personally, our daughter loves animals, it gives us an opportunity to see animals. It just gives her an opportunity to learn about them, to see them, and interact with them,” Hays resident Macie Mayo said.
Two young girls had the chance to pet and interact with a lamb.
Fort Hays State University students were at the event. They were there to show and talk with families about the animals.
Another FHSU student interacted with and showed four children a goat.

“It’s a great way to connect the community, getting people that come to the library, we like to get them out doing other things in the community. Just having a fun event for our kiddos and the community,” Hays Public Library Early Literacy Coordinator Lori Allberry said.
