Frogson earns league honor

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – Callum Frogson earned GAC/MIAA Defensive Player of the Week honors on Tuesday (Oct. 4) for his performance in the pair of wins for Fort Hays State last week. The Tigers won 3-1 over Southern Nazarene in Bethany, Okla. and 2-1 over then 16th-ranked Northeastern State in Hays.

The Nottingham, England native started both matches and was ten minutes shy of playing the full 180 minutes. Frogson scored one goal and added an assist to generate three points for the week. He had the first goal of three in the win over Southern Nazarene, his fourth goal of the season. He was also credited with an assist on the game-winning goal against Northeastern State.

Frogson joined Marcus Vasallo (Offensive Player of the Week) and Declan Viljoen (Goalkeeper of the Week), both of Rogers State, as the weekly honorees from the GAC office.
