WICHITA FALLS, Texas – The No. 12 ranked FHSU men’s soccer team fell to No. 6 ranked Midwestern State 1-0 on Thursday (Sep. 8) night. The Mustang attack was relentless throughout the match and squeezed a goal into the net in the second half. The Mustangs remained unbeaten at 4-0, while the Tigers fell to 2-2-1.
Midwestern State kept control of the ball during most of the match. The Mustangs took 10 shots and held the Tigers without a shot in the first half. The Mustangs poked the ball between the posts in the 64th minute on a cross from Adam Robinson headed in by Rory Doyle. MSU finished with 19 shots in the match and placed nine on target. FHSU managed five shots and placed one on goal. Kieran Brown collected eight saves on the day compared to a single save by MSU keeper Adam Braman.
The Tigers will return to the pitch on Saturday (Sep. 10) when they take on Texas A&M International at 1 p.m.
