Fort Hays State head women’s golf coach Jerol DeBoer has announced the signing of Hannah Nimmo for the 2022-23 season.

The Wolfe City, Texas native was the UIL Class A State Champion as a freshman in 2019. She added another district and regional title in 2021 before placing third at state as a junior after the 2020 spring season was canceled.

Nimmo has earned medalist honors in all but one of her high school events to date, including a first-place finish with a round of 76 in her first tournament as a senior in 2022.

A native Oklahoman, Nimmo has played in more than 100 events during her prep career. She had one win, one additional top-five finish and four more top-10 finishes outside of the high school season in 2021.

Nimmo has earned numerous academic honors and recognitions throughout her high school tenure, including winning a National Beta Club Language Arts State Championship and earning NASA High School Aerospace Scholar status, among others. She has also been accepted into the FHSU Honors College.
