4 named to NWCA list

MANHEIM, Pa. – Fort Hays State University had four individuals named Scholar All-Americans by the NWCA on Monday (Apr. 12). Also, Fort Hays State University earned Scholar All-America Team status, ranking among the Top 20 in team GPA.

To receive Scholar All-America status, an individual must have a minimum 3.4 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale, and a benchmark of 3.25 for those who qualified for the NCAA Division II Wrestling Championships. Cody Hicks, Tereus Henry, Anthony Scantlin, and Mason Turner of FHSU all received Scholar All-America status. Scantlin is now a three-time recipient of the honor, and Turner received it for the second time.

Fort Hays State generated a team GPA of 3.22, which ranked 16th among the Top 20 to earn Scholar All-America Team status. Fort Hays State and Nebraska-Kearney represented the MIAA among the Top 20.
