CLAREMORE, Okla. – After 110 minutes of action, neither Fort Hays State or Rogers State could find a game-winning goal in a 1-1 draw Saturday afternoon (Apr. 3) in Claremore. The Tigers finished the spring regular season at 4-1-1 and in second place in the Great American Conference standings.

Fort Hays State got on the board first in the 27th minute. Blake Arndt fired one into the net off the assist from Zedan Mutlu for his fifth goal in six games this year. Just 10 minutes later, Rogers State knotted the score again with a successful penalty kick attempt. Though the Tigers had close chances late in the second half, they were never able to convert, coming up just short in a chance to finish on top of the GAC standings.

Kieran Brown was instrumental for the Tigers against the Hillcat offensive attack. Brown was tested often in the 110 minutes of play, saving nine of ten shots on goal.

Blake Arndt led the Tigers with six shots, including two on goal. Taisei Arima was right behind Arndt with five shots during the match.

The Tigers turn their attention towards the GAC Tournament starting with the semifinal round on April 10. The Tigers have secured a home game in the semifinals. Official announcement of the tournament bracket and seeds will be made soon by the Great American Conference.
