TOPEKA, Kan. – An All-Tournament Team has been announced for the Washburn Invitational, held this past weekend (Feb. 26-28). Sara Breckbill of Fort Hays State received a selection to the team, one of 16 players to receive recognition among 10 teams that competed. She has two all-tournament selections this season after receiving honors at the Lubbock College Sports Invitational the first weekend of the season.
Breckbill batted .462 for the week, producing six hits in 13 at bats. She had a pair of doubles and tied for the team lead in RBIs with four. She also scored a pair of runs.
In the first game of the weekend, Breckbill had an RBI double for FHSU’s only run of a 3-1 loss to Missouri-St. Louis. She picked up an RBI on a bases-loaded walk in the 8-0 win over Sioux Falls. Breckbill produced two RBIs in the 9-2 win over Truman, one on a single and one on a double.
