LUBBOCK, Texas – Freshman outfielder Sarah Tiffany and junior catcher Sara Breckbill were named to the 2021 Lubbock Sports College Invitational All-Tournament Team. Breckbill was the only catcher selected, while Tiffany was one of five outfielders named to the team.
Tiffany had a strong offensive weekend in her collegiate debut. The Fort Lupton, Colorado freshman hit .429 with four extra-base hits (2 doubles, 1 triple, 1 home run) and three RBIs. She launched a home run in her first collegiate at bat against Texas-Permian Basin, helping the Tigers to a 6-3 win. She was 6-for-14 at the plate, leading the Tigers with 13 total bases and a .929 slugging percentage over the weekend. She also accounted for two of Fort Hays State’s three stolen bases at the invitational.
Breckbill also had a strong showing for the Tigers at the plate, hitting .462 (6-for-13). She had a pair of doubles in the 6-3 win over Texas-Permian Basin, including one that drove home a run. Behind the dish, she cut down five baserunners trying to steal and recorded seven defensive assists for the weekend.
