On March 31, 2014 the Diversity Affairs in Student Involvement hosted the 2014 Phenomenal Women of 2014 Reception were women from a select few have been chosen to receive honors for leading by example, helping out in the community, and other things that are deemed phenomenal.
“This award is to go towards people who are declared phenomenal, who lead by example and taking action,” said Amber White, who hosted the event.
The event also had a video of Maya Angelou talking about what it means to be phenomenal and what it mean to be a woman in society while also making outstanding contributions to FHSU and/or to the Hays community.
