logged in.
I do not want my name to
show as the leading bidder for an item.
If you did not enter the optional “Display Name” when you registered
to bid, you can log back into the site and Edit Account to enter a more anonymous
display name.
What is a Buy Now item?
Buy Now items are items that are for sale. These items can be purchased for a
price. Once the item is sold, no one else can purchase it. If there is a
quantity for sale that is greater than 1, when all the items are sold, the Buy
Now button will be disabled and the item will be displayed as sold. You must
pay for the item at time of purchase.
What is a Give Now Item?
This item is a donation that can be paid for on your credit card. Give Now
items are paid for at time of donation.
What is the Win it Now
price for an item?
When you click the Win
it Now price button for an auction item and place that bid, the
item will be yours as long as you pay for it right at that moment.
What is Bid Wars?
For any auction item that has the bid wars logo, if the current bid is raised
in the last few minutes of the entire auction, that item will stay open for
bidding for a set amount of time, usually 10 minutes. If a raise is made during
that extended time period, the item will remain open for an additional set time
period. When that time period expires with no raise, the item will close and be
awarded to the highest bidder. You will be notified if an item you are
interested in has gone into bid wars.
Will I be notified at
the end of the event if I have won any items?
Yes, you will be notified by email that you are a winner. The email will ask
you to log back into the site and pay for your items with the credit card on
file.
When I try to pay, it
says add a new credit card? What about the credit card I entered at
registration?
The add new credit card is a pulldown. If you use the pulldown, you will see
the credit card on file as a choice. Click it and that will be the credit card
that is charged when you agree to the payment. Of course you can always add a
different credit card if you choose.
I have tried to buy
several Buy Now items and a donation and I cannot find my shopping cart to pay
for them.
There is no shopping cart. Whenever you click a Buy Now button or a Give Now button for
any item, you will be directed to use the pull down to choose the credit card
on file to pay for that item and that item only at that time. If you purchase
several Buy Now
items, you will check out for each item individually. There is no shopping cart
because if there was, someone could hold onto items and then later decide to
not purchase, thus stopping other people from purchasing them until it is too
late.
Will I have to pay for
each Bid Now item separately if am the successful high bidder of several items
at the end of the auction?
No. If you are the winning bidder for any auction items at the end of the
event, you can purchase all of those items on one transaction.
What is Online Roundup?
Online Roundup is the amount you would like to add to your total amount paid at
the end of the event. This is an optional donation you can make to the
organization. For example, if your total purchase was $75 and you would like to
give the organization at total of $100, you would add a roundup of $25. Your
credit card will be charged $100 total.
When I try to check out,
it says my credit card is not accepted.
Please check your account information and make sure the credit card number,
expiration date, billing address, etc. are correct. If it is a debit card, make
sure the account has sufficient funds. If everything is correct, contact your
card provider. The provider is denying the charge so they may be able to tell
you what is happening.
