A month remains before the 30th Annual and 2020 edition of the Jim & Blake McGuire Scholarship Scramble, scheduled for Friday, September 4 at Smoky Hill Country Club in Hays. Due to concerns with COVID-19 in the spring earlier this year, the event moved from April 24 to September 4.
Registration will begin at 9 a.m. inside the Smoky Hill clubhouse, with a shotgun start to follow at 10 a.m.
**Masks will only be required while inside the clubhouse at Smoky Hill Country Club, but we still encourage social distancing during the gathering of teams outside and during the course of play.**
Entries for the tournament are expected fill up fast. Those interested should submit a registration form as soon as possible to guarantee a spot in the tournament.
The format is a 4-person scramble at a cost of $140 per person. Deadline for entries is Monday, August 31. Each entry fee includes player gifts, prizes, awards, lunch at the turn and beverages on the course, with all proceeds going directly to the benefit of the Fort Hays State athletic department.
