KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association wrapped up its week-long 2020-21 schedule reveal by unveiling the conference slates for baseball, softball and tennis on Friday (June 19).
The Fort Hays State baseball team will play a three-game weekend set against all 11 conference opponents, including six series in Hays and five on the road. For the 2021 season, each three-game set will be played over two days, including one doubleheader and one single game.
With the DII Presidents Council’s decision to reduce the maximum number of games played to 40, the Tigers can schedule up to seven additional non-conference games. Non-conference matchups and official game dates for league games are to be announced.
The conference also announced that the 2021 MIAA Baseball Championship will be an eight-team, double elimination tournament held over four days.

The Tiger softball team will play a standard 26-game conference schedule,
including doubleheaders against all 13 league rivals. The Tigers can schedule
up to 18 non-league contests to complete its 44-game schedule for the 2021
season.
Similar to baseball, the 2021 MIAA Softball Championship will consist of an
eight-team, double elimination bracket held over four days.

The Fort Hays State tennis team will also face off against each conference
school once during the spring season, including four home duals and four road
contests. Tentative dates for each matchup are listed below and are subject to
change.
Tennis was allotted 17 dates of competition throughout the 2020-21 season,
giving the Tigers the ability to schedule up to nine dates of non-conference
competition.
The 2021 MIAA Women’s Tennis Championship was also modified, moving from an
eight-team bracket held over three to a six-team tournament held over two days.
