In light of CDC regulations and concerns regarding the COVID-19 coronavirus, the 30th Annual Jim & Blake McGuire Scholarship Scramble has been rescheduled for Friday, September 4 at Smoky Hill Country Club in Hays.
Initially planned for April 24, the annual event will instead be held the day after the first Fort Hays State football game of the 2020 season.
Registration will begin at 9 a.m. inside the Smoky Hill clubhouse, with a shotgun start to follow at 10 a.m.
Entries for the tournament are expected fill up fast. Those interested should submit a registration form as soon as possible to guarantee a spot in the tournament.
The format is a 4-person scramble at a cost of $140 per person. Deadline for entries is Monday, August 31. Each entry fee includes player gifts, prizes, awards, lunch at the turn and beverages on the course, with all proceeds going directly to the benefit of the Fort Hays State athletic department.
