Entrepreneurs in western Kansas once again have a golden opportunity to get help getting a new business venture off and running.
The Faulkner Challenge is a business plan competition for entrepreneurs who live in one of 56 counties in the western half of the state. Entry is free for the competition, and $10,000 in cash prizes will be awarded.
Participants are asked to submit a written business plan by March 20. Plans can be emailed to faulknerchallenge@fhsu.edu. For a complete list of guidelines, visit www.fhsu.edu/cob/faulkner-challenge.
The plans will be judged, and six finalists will be notified March 23. The finals of the competition will be April 4 at Brief Space in downtown Hays.
The live finals are free and open to the public.
The Faulkner Challenge is sponsored by Grow Hays, Brief Space and Fort Hays State University’s Robbins College of Business and Entrepreneurship. The competition was spearheaded by FHSU alum Kevin Faulkner.
