The Fort Hays State women’s basketball team will return to play inside Gross Memorial Coliseum this weekend as the 16th-ranked team in the WBCA DII Coaches Poll. The latest poll, released Tuesday (Jan. 28), saw the Tigers move six spots after a 1-1 road trip last week.
Fort Hays State is 4-1 all-time when ranked 16th in the coaches poll, including a perfect 4-0 mark this season. The Tigers defeated Harding, No. 6 Saint Anselm, Missouri Southern and Pittsburg State earlier this season after coming in 16th on the Dec. 17th poll.
The Tigers are the top-ranked team in the MIAA, joined this week by 22nd-ranked Central Missouri while Emporia State represents the league in the receiving votes category.
The Tigers return to the floor Saturday (Feb. 1) when they host rival Nebraska-Kearney at 2 p.m.
