Recently the remaining fighters in the Mortal Kombat 11 Kombat pack were revealed, alongside the previously-released fighters Nightwolf and Shang Tsung. Those fighters include (Arnold Schwarzenegger’s) Terminator, ( Mortal Kombat’s) Sindel, (DC’s) Joker, and (Todd McFarlane’s) Spawn. These characters are highly anticipated from long time NetherRealm fans and are excited to see them come to fruition in this game. Fans from across the NetherRealm library have been asking for characters like Spawn to appear in one of their games since the advent of Injustice 1 and similarly have been wanting DC characters to join the gory violence in Mortal Kombat.
For fans following the DLC news of MK 11, they will most likely look back at the infamous Nintendo switch leak from a while back. This leak supposedly was to have all of the characters to be in the Kombat Pack but also some, from what fans speculated to be, from a second. All the characters revealed in the most recent Kombat Pack were listed in this leak and with Ed Boon saying the whole roster has been leaked already, it seems to be the case that this is more fact than fiction.
This would mean that mean Sheeva, Fujin, Ash Williams (presumably) could be on the way. Maybe even the, already modeled, MK robots (Cyrax and Sektor) will make it in as well. Only time will tell. Netherrealm studios seems to be pulling out all the stops when it comes to bringing great content and long-requested characters. However even some fans are disappointed by the reveal, my running theory is this is a major cause of disappointment because of the lack of surprises. The leak that most content creators and fans were aware of took away a lot of the hype surrounding characters for some. If there is a Kombat Pack two, let’s hope there is a better way to hide the reveals.
