The social work program at Fort Hays State University has earned re-accreditation for eight years from the Council on Social Work Education.
The council is the only accrediting organization for social work education in the United States.
“We were reaffirmed at the June 2019 meeting of the council, culminating 18 months of work,” said Dr. Tim Davis, chair of FHSU’s Department of Social Work.
Reaccreditation, conducted on an eight-year cycle, requires the program to submit a self study and then host a site visit from a CSWE team to evaluate compliance with social work education standards.
