Results of the annual SGA election are announced

This past week, the Student Government Association held their annual elections.

During this time, students were able to vote for who would represent their academic college as senators within the SGA as well as for the positions of President and Vice President.

The polls were open from Wednesday, April 17 until the afternoon the next day.

As the Student Senate convened the evening of April 18, the results of the election were announced for the first time. The complete list of senators was later posted to the SGA’s Twitter account.

Brad DeMers was elected as President. He is currently in his second year as a senator for SGA and sits as chair for two of its committees.

Michael Musgrove, who is in his third year of serving on the Student Senate, was elected as Vice President.

The five students who were elected to represent the College of Arts, Humanities, & Social Sciences are Bryson Homman, Denice Lastra Blanco, Natalie Miller, Nia Vasquez-Ward, and Kaytee Wisley.

Emily Prine was voted to represent the College of Education.

Representing the College of Health & Behavioral Sciences in the coming year will be Jessica Maciel, Garrett McBlair, and Eiran Saucedo.

Graham Applegate, Haley Reiter, Braden Scott, and Ryan Stanley will represent the Robbins College of Business & Entrepreneurship while Emily Cranwell, Kayelani Kirschbaum, and Wade Minihan will represent the Werth College of Science, Technology and Mathematics.

Senators At-Large include Joshua Becker, Desirae Copeland, Eliza Gomez, Jerry Nieves, and Jaqueline Tarango.

This new Student Senate will convene with the start of the 2019-2020 school year.
