On Thursday, March 7th, Tigers in Service hosted their annual Volunteer Fair in the Memorial Union. Non-profit organizations on campus and in the community had the opportunity to promote their organization and services to students at Fort Hays. Some organizations included Stripes for Hope, Habitat for Humanity, and Big Brothers Big Sisters.
Students could learn more about local service organizations and look into getting involved. It is a way to not only discover the non-profits in the community but an opportunity to volunteer for events. Director of Tigers in Service, Marisa Carman, says she hopes that students learned more about the organizations and community and will be more willing to reach out to them if they ever need to fulfill volunteer hours.
