Fort Hays State Men’s Basketball looks to bounce back from a six-point loss to Lindenwood at home on Thursday when it host Lincoln on Saturday (Feb. 16) at Gross Memorial Coliseum in Hays. Game time is set for 4 pm, which follows the women’s contest at 2 pm.

The Tigers are looking to pull even with Lincoln in the MIAA standings. Lincoln is currently fourth in the MIAA at 9-5, while the Tigers are fifth at 8-6. Overall, Lincoln carries a record of 16-7, while FHSU is 14-9 for the season. FHSU also looks to stay ahead of Pittsburg State in the standings. The Gorillas are currently one game back of the Tigers in the standings in sixth, but face third-place Missouri Southern on Saturday.
After starting 11-0 at home this season, the Tigers have dropped their last two home contests at the hands of a now No. 1 nationally ranked Northwest Missouri squad and most recently Lindenwood. It was the first time FHSU dropped two in a row at home since the 2015-16 season, when they fell to Washburn and Emporia State in consecutive home contests.
Fort Hays State owns an eight-game win streak over Lincoln in Hays, the last being a 74-72 overtime win in the 2016-17 season. Lincoln won last year’s meeting in Jefferson City by a score of 77-56.
Brady Werth produced his fourth double-double of the season on Thursday night in the loss to Lindenwood. He has reached double figures in scoring in 14 consecutive games. Devin Davis produced a season-high 18 points in the game. Kyler Kinnamon reached 400 assists in his career at FHSU, the fourth player in program history to achieve the feat.
