The fourth-ranked Fort Hays State women’s basketball team continues the MIAA grind Saturday (Jan. 12) when the Tigers host Central Oklahoma at 2 p.m. inside Gross Memorial Coliseum.

The Tigers are 9-4 all-time against UCO, including a perfect 7-0 mark in Hays. The Bronchos have won three of the last five matchups. FHSU is 8-3 in the series and 6-0 at home under Tony Hobson.
Central Oklahoma is 11-4 overall this season, with three of those losses coming in its last four games. The Bronchos rank 11th in the league in scoring, putting up 66.9 points per contest, while ranking 12th with an average of 35.9 rebounds each night. Micayla Haynes is one of three Bronchos averaging in double figures, leading the team with 12.1 ppg. Ireon Smith grabs a team-best 8.3 rebounds every game while Shatoya Bryson leads the way with 3.0 assists per outing.
Lanie Page averages 18.5 ppg in two games against UCO. Carly Heim has scored 19.3 ppg in her last three games against the Bronchos and 10.8 in six career games. Madison Mittie averages 12.0 ppg in two matchups, while Tatyana Legette has scored 10.2 ppg in six games against UCO.
Fort Hays State has made the second-most free throws in Division II so far this season, knocking down 271 shots from the charity stripe, just nine behind the national leaders in Fresno Pacific (280).
